What is The Law of Attraction?

Everybody has had tough times in his life when he or she had been wondering “What did I do wrong?” or “How did I deserve that?”. Some people believe in luck, some call it fate or doom, others destiny or God’s will. Some even leave their lives in the hands of mysterious powers such as superstition. But what is really controlling our lives?

The Law of Attraction gives the exact answer to that kind of questions. It explains why we are experiencing success or failure, happiness or misery. It shows us the reason for anything that is currenly happening to us or how we ended up where we are today.

In a nutshell the Law of Attraction is saying that we attract into our lives whatever it is that we think about. It is simply a law of physics just like the law of gravity. We all know that if nothing is holding you in the air you will fall to the groung. With just as much certainty we can say that if you keep thinking of something for some time it will manifest into your life.

It may seem a bit obscure or hard to believe but it has been proven time and time again that it’s just how it works. If you are constantly thinking something and that could be anything it will reflect into your subconscious mind and from there on it is simply a matter of time to see it materialize in some form in your life.

The Law of Attraction is not just about positive thinking it is about having clear conscious vision of yourself and what it is that you want to achieve. It is about having clear and conscious goals and well developed plans on how to achieve them, combined with taking consistent action.

How does The Law of Attraction work?

Do you think that it is by accident that only 1% of Earth’s population is in control of 99% of all the resources on the planet? I think not, and I believe that this 1% must know something that the rest of us don’t and must be doing something that the rest of us aren’t. You can choose to believe it or not – the Law of Attraction works.

Everyone can use and enjoy the benefits of the Law of Attraction. There are a large number of books defining it and describing how it works. It can be employed in any area of your life – health, relationships, money, etc.

If you want to be healthy for example you have to visualize yourself as healthy. Don’t just say to yourself “I am not going to get sick”. The negative notion has the opposite effect of what you want. You should always try to exclude negative thoughts and emotions from your mind.

Think about the unbelievable stories of people that defeated cancer or restored from conditions that were untreatable. I know we’ve all heard of some of these stories. They were the resulf of the correct application of the Law of Attraction.

Things like stress, fear, worry will affect your thoughts and your health negatively and that is why you have to get rid of them. Whenever you catch yourself thinking about anything bad or negative try to visualize something that makes you happy. The leading emotions of your life should be love, joy and happiness.

We all get scared sometimes but we simply have to learn to take control over that fear. We have to learn to take control of our thoughts and through them we can control our emotions.

At any given time you have to feel grateful for whatever it is that you have. No matter if you are barely making ends meet. If you want to make a real change in your life then you should start changing yourself first. You should be thankful for whatever it is that you have in order to attract abundance. Thoughts of scarcity attract only more of it.

To become rich you must first start to think like the rich. Even though you are not there yet you should be visualizing yourself having all that you desire and there should be no doubt within your mind that you shall receive it.

The first and most important part of the mechanism of the Law of Attraction is the clear goal and vision of what it is that you want. Clear and conscious decision should be made that you want this and that and nothing is going to stand in your way untill you get it. You should repeat that to yourself each and every day preferably in the morning as you wake up and at night before going to bed. Making that commitment is going to be the beginning of your journey.

Don’t worry about how you’re going to get it and what you should be doing in that direction. At this point it is crucial to establish your goals and be able to visualize yourself as if you have already achieved them. The circumstances are going to present you the opportunity of getting what you want soon enough.

The second important aspect is to have unbreakable faith that you will get what you want. You should not doubt it for a second. It is hard to reach that level of confidence but it should become your obsession. To recieve you must first believe.

There will be times when it seems impossible but you should just fight your way through and keep those negative thoughts away. You must believe in yourself and in your success and you shall have it.

Think about religion for example. No matter what religion you hold in your soul it is built completely upon faith and that is why it is so effective. When you are praying you are simply verbalizing your wishes or the objects of your prayer and if your faith is strong your prayer becomes a reality.

Please don’t get me wrong by thinking that you will get what you want immediately. It takes time and it is different for everyone. I cannot tell you if it takes you a couple of weeks or a couple of months, perhaps even a year but I am certain that if you employ the principles of the Law of Attraction you will succeed. I have seen it work in my life so many times that when I first read about it I was shocked. Shocked because I hadn’t seen it before while it was so obvious.

  1. Hi Alex, thanks for this post. I have heard of this Law of Attraction before but never tried it. I believe it is utilized by all the top sports stars while training and competing. They focus on reaching the top and the really mentally strong sports stars never allow this focus to waver. Many times an athlete may not be the most talented but still reaches the top because he or she mentally beat their more talented opponents. I think I will look into the Law of Attraction more because it could be a valuable skill to have in many parts of my life. Thanks again.

      I am happy you found my post useful and inspiring. There are lots of people that successfully utilize the Law of Attraction and it’s principles. It can be detrimental to just about any part of your life.

      I myself am a strong believer in the Law of Attraction and make an effort to practice it every day. They say its best to visualize your goals every morning after waking up and every night before going to sleep. This is the transition time between the conscious and subconscious. So far it has been working for me and I keep updating my goals every few months.

  2. An interesting review on the “law of attraction”, it is fast becoming a must read book much like Napoleon Hill. How do you feel that the law of attraction has affected you in your life. Can you give me an example when it worked against you (because you didn’t understand), and where it worked for you and perhaps the is?

    1. Thank you for the questions, Donald. I will try to give you my honest answer.

      I remember that for a long time in my life I was constantly frustrated with my job, with not having a meaningful relationship or even a clear purpose in life. Time was just passing and things were not getting any better. Even when I had an improvement as a result of some effort it was again shadowed by negativity and bad circumstances.

      It was not until I started educating myself more on the subject of personal development that I started seeing where I had been wrong. I suddenly understood that it’s all in my head and I had pretty much everything I needed. I just hadn’t realized that life doesn’t have to be a struggle and you have to be thankful for whatever it is that you have. Life is enough of a gift by itself.

      Now I have clear goals, I am working as an engineer and internet marketer, we are going to have a baby this summer with my wife, and I feel great about my life. I am far from the dream lifestyle and there are many more things that I want to work on and achieve but I know that with the right mindset everything is possible.

      We are all on this planet to thrive and we should aim at nothing less.

  3. The law of attraction makes a lot of sense, as negativity breeds negativity.

    The hard part is training yourself to think positively all the time, as it is so easy to let other people’s negativity creep in, and even for a few of your own negative thoughts to pop up every now and then. The trick I think is to work on it daily.

    1. I totally agree with you. It’s not easy to stay positive all the time but just “tracking” your thoughts is a good start. Whenever I catch myself thinking negative I try to imagine something that makes me feel good and shift my focus. It works most of the time.
